Potent application of Anti Dross Powder is to cut the contact of solder with air/oxygen.

It is used in solder bath/Pot while Dip Soldering Process.

Performance of Anti Dross is maximum when tin content in solder is higher.

HOW TO USE ANTI DROSS POWDER

Sprinkle 1to 2 gm of powder on your melted solder in soldering Dip Machine(pot).

NOTE: Solder should be in liquid state and it works best when it is in thermostat or digital solder pot, as temperature will be well maintained in them.

Before sprinkling make sure that if there is any dross on the melted solder then it should be removed. The powder will form a layer over the melted solder and protect the solder from Oxidation.

APPLICATION OF ANTI DROSS POWDER

• Dross collected while using powder in solder bath weighs less as compared to dross collected without the use of dross  powder.

           while using the powder , solder recovers simultaneously from the accumulated  dross.

• Anti dross powder helps to extract solder from dross.

          Put solder dross in a container and put over high flame. When dross starts to heat , put 1 gm of powder over it and stir continuously. Solder will come out of dross that can be reused leaving behind only residual dross.

TECHNICAL DETAILS

• 2-3% dross should remain over the melted solder. It helps in reduction of oxidation process.

Powder will make a thin layer over the pot when sprinkled over it. We have to just maintain that layer.
