DESCRIPTION

Solder Flux is a water-based, high activity liquid flux designed to offer low - spattering and excellent wetting, even to difficult to solder parts.
It is formulated for a variety of electronic, electrical and industrial applications, including wire, cable, and terminal lead tinning and soldering, flat and round wire fabrication, and semiconductor and component lead tinning. 
Tinning flux will solder:- copper, beryllium-copper, nickel, alloy 42, alloy 51, nickel, brass, some steels, and base metals.

How to Choose the Correct Solder as per Application

How to identify the best suitable Solder Quality


Lets start with basics of Solder composition available in the market like we have solder in the combination of Tin (SN), Lead (PB), Copper (CU) and Silver (AG).

Normal Tin/Lead Solder ratios commonly used are (SN/PB): 10/90, 15/85, 20/80, 25/75, 30/70, 35/65, 40/60, 45/55, 50/50, 55/45, 60/40 and 63/37. 

These are also referred as Leaded Solder Qualities.

Now the days consciousness related to environment and human health have increased thus companies have started using ROHS , NON-Leaded Solder Wires with their application, usually governed by European Norms and used by exporting companies in their products and by MNC's.

Normal Lead-Free Solder wire composition available are Tin/Copper (SN/CU), Tin/Silver/Copper in the ratio of 99.3/0.7 (SN/CU), 99/1 (SN/CU). 99/0.3/0.7 (SN/AG/CU) and 96.5/3/0.5 (SN/AG/CU) aka SAC 305.

SAC 307 also primarily used these days 96.3/3/0.7.

Today, with technological advancement and to reduce cost Antimonial, bismuth containing solder are produced which are hard and have high melting temperature thus doesn't suit every application but are economical than normal silver containing solder wires.

Our SMD Solvent is developed to increase the efficiency, flow and reduce/eliminate dryness of any SMD paste. Its promotes spreading-ability of the paste and increases per psc production.

Usage:

1. Keep the No clean Paste out as per requirement in normal temp for your process.
2. Pour 1 to 2 drops as needed over 15 gm smd paste.

Note: Don't use more than 3-4 drops of the solvent.

Tinned copper (Tin Wire) wires are used in applications involving current flow, corrosion resistance, or when you need to solder the wire to some component. 

Overview

Tinned Copper wires are desirable for soldering as they make connections and soldering an easy task given tin is a primary component in solder. Tin also helps to strengthen the copper wire underneath, making it more resilient to breakage or lost connections while also boosting coppers conductivity.
So while tinned copper wire is more expensive than bare copper wire, it is often considered to be a much more prudent expenditure in the long run. Given that  tin plating can drastically increase the life of copper, as well as ensure its effectiveness in high humidity areas, it pays for itself with strong performance and a lot less maintenance.

No-Clean cored wires was developed to eliminate the use of solvents for post-solder cleaning of circuit board assemblies in electronic industry. The No-Clean flux used in the wire core is completely halide-free. It provides excellent solderabilty and high reliability. The flux residues requires no-cleaning due to physio-chemical characteristics of the core flux.

About No-Clean Flux Wire:

Soldering requires flux to removes oxides and to promote wetting. Rosin (made from tree sap) is one flux material that has long been popular, and comes in various strengths- RMA (Rosin Mildly Activated) or RA (Rosin Activated). 

We ensure that you can leave the flux on the board under fairly benign conditions and experience bears that out (it only becomes active = corrosive) at elevated temperatures, however most manufacturers will clean the board for cosmetic reasons and to allow inspection. Cleaning often involves the use of petroleum solvents (PCB Cleaning Solvents)- for example by vapor degreasing or just scrubbing.

No clean fluxes allegedly don't need to be cleaned and can be left on the board, however many of have had problems with no-clean processes having relatively conductive residue. The residue is ironically extremely hard to remove, much more difficult than the two above-mentioned processes, more like 'can't clean'. Think twice about this kind of flux if you're thinking of sensitive analog boards that have high impedance. Even circuits you may not think of as being analog such as RTCC chips with an external crystal may be affected.

Safest for sensitive boards is rosin flux followed by a thorough cleaning process(using PCB Cleaning Solvents).

No clean flux often has enough "low" resistance that it might influence sensitive circuits, so in case you can withstand with a few hundreds of megohms resistance between anything, leave it on. If that is too low, clean it up.

B.I.C 63/37 Rosin Core WIRE SOLDER and Sticks/Rods




RA Type rosin cored wire is available in all type of solder alloys, different sizes and varying core percentages. It is used for Soldering any kind of electronic assemblies. It provides instant wetting and excellent capillary action which results in less rejections and few touch-ups.
